Attendant Ringer Control lets you mute the attendant console ringer. When the attendant console ringer is muted, incoming calls continue to be indicated by the Call Waiting prompt at the top of the display.
On the 5540 IP Console, incoming calls are also indicated by the ANSWER key LED. When an incoming call arrives at the console, the ANSWER key LED flashes.
By default, the attendant console ringer is on.
This feature does not require programming.
All consoles
To turn the console ringer on or off:
Select Ringer On or Ringer Off from the Console Status area.
When the ringer is off, the Incoming Calls display the Call Waiting indicator (the color of the softkey associated with each call) provide the only indications that you have calls waiting.
To adjust the ringer volume:
While the console is ringing,
press CTRL+
or CTRL+
on the PC keyboard
(MiVoice Business Console).
You can also use the Audio option on the Tools menu to adjust the ringer volume.
To mute the attendant console ringer:
Press Function.
Press Bell Off.
Press Exit.
To turn the attendant console ringer back on:
Press Function.
Press Bell On.
Press Exit.
